Meeting Our Cats
CAN I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
We are one of the few rescues in New England that are not by appointment. We are a volunteer-run rescue, and our volunteers give up their Saturdays so that our cats can find forever families. However, we realize this is not ideal for everyone and are happy to recommend rescues who are by appointment should that better suit you.

ARE YOU ONLY ONLY OPEN ON SATURDAYS TO MEET THE CATS?
Yes, our meet and greets are conducted every Saturday unless noted differently on our website

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT ON SATURDAYS?
Unfortunately, we cannot open the shelter to the public on any other day, except for unique circumstances such as our Meet-and-Greet Auction. Our suggestion is to make an appointment with another local rescue.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
We cannot allow children under 12 into the rescue at this time. Currently, the only exception to this is our occasional Meet-and-Greet Auctions, in which case the entire winning family is welcome.

HOW MANY PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY CAN COME TO THE RESCUE?
We ask that you limit your party to two per family. The more people in your party, the longer the wait (for you, and everyone else).

CAN I BRING HOME MY CAT ON THE SAME DAY?
Only some of our cats are eligible for same-day adoption. If the cat you choose is not available for same-day adoption, we will schedule a day and time for you to pick up your cat. We will not disclose which cats are available for same day adoption as we want our adopters to chose their cat based on a connection not a convenience of not having to come back

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION PRIOR TO ARRIVING?
While not required, we highly recommended that you fill out an application with your information (you can leave the cat information blank) and bring a printed copy with you to the shelter. If you do not have a pre-filled application, you will be asked to fill one out prior to viewing our cats. This slows down the process and adds to the wait time for others. Please bring a copy with you as well, we are unable to print applications sent to us via email. We are unable to approve applications prior only review them for any changes that would need to be made to avoid delays meeting the cats. We feel the approval process is based on more than just the application, we also want to meet our adopters. d

IF I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION DOES THAT PLACE A CAT ON HOLD FOR ME?
Unfortunately, no. We are a first-come, first-serve rescue.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU RUN OUT OF KITTENS?
We take in kittens and cats every week. It is a rare occasion to have no adoptable kittens. If it does happen, however, we will inform those remaining in line, and will stay open for anyone on the wait list who is interested in meeting our adult cats. We have never run out of adoptable cats.

WHY ISN'T ANYONE ANSWERING MY CALL/TEXT/EMAIL ON SATURDAYS?
We are extremely busy inside the shelter on Saturdays and are unable to answer any calls, texts or emails until after we close to the public. Please review this list of FAQs to see if your question is addressed.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located at 920 Lafayette Rd, Unit 201, Seabrook NH.
We share a building with Linda's breakfast; we are directly to the right of them if looking at the building from the parking lot. Please note that we do not have a sign above our unit, but upon entering the parking lot you will see our cats in the windows!

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept CC, DC, check, PayPal, Venmo and Cash.

WHAT IF I AM LOOKING FOR A SPECIFIC COLOR, SEX OR COAT LENGTH?
You can email us at info@cattalesnh.org on Friday afternoons with inquiries on specific cats, or specific cat characteristics. By this time, we typically know who will be available the following day. This does not, however, place a hold on the cat for you.
